Silent Film Night 2015 was a very special event, dedicated to the memory of Teodora Maftei, who lost her life in the Colectiv fire tragedy. A photographer and friend of the InnerSound Festival, she was a positive, warm, passionate, and enthusiastic arts lover - the very qualities that fuel InnerSound. This is why I chose to embed the crane, one of Teodora's symbols, into the design of Silent Film Night 2015, alongside strong contrasts. Art and life can bring great and extreme experiences, and only a noble spirit can live through them with serenity and grace.

Organized by the Opus Association, the InnerSound New Arts Festival offers a fresh perspective on contemporary music. A core pillar of the festival, ‘Silent Film Night’ is an original concept that brings together renowned directors, composers, and musicians to perform live, original scores created specifically for silent films. The 2015 program featured several world premieres, as well as Estonian and Romanian premieres performed in Estonia.
